Earlier in the year I produced a photo shoot with James Horan Photography for Harness Racing NSW. I have never attended a harness racing event before so it was a whole new world to me. We had a lot of fun meeting the passionate people who race and work on these events, including the adorable ponies! We spent two days shooting out at Menangle Park Raceway with Sophie Hart Styling and Lisa Mangion on hair and makeup.
I produced a film shoot with the Qube Productions team recently for Mirvac. Our mission was to promote the Shopper Hopper ferry service - a wonderful way to travel to Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre from Darling Harbour or Circular Quay.
We took our experience with using lots of gadgets to shoot cars - to using lots of gadgets on Sydney Harbour to shoot boats and gorgeous girls shopping. Both have their own challenges, particularly the copious amounts of salt water spraying onto the team and equipment!
Sadly no items were actually purchased.
I produced the latest Audi stills campaign with Qube Productions (formerly Chris Benny Imaging) and I'm feeling pretty proud seeing the images around Sydney - including a massive billboard at the entrance to Sydney Domestic Airport! Chris has years of experience making the cars look sexy - the challenge is always finding the right location. Massive thanks to the great team behind us who helped make this project a success.
I love Byron Bay but I only ever really get to spend time up there when I'm working. So it's a good thing that I get to work at the gorgeous Elements of Byron resort!
This film and photo shoot focused on the family experience of the resort, and all the wonderful things it has to offer. The weather was beautiful, the local talent were brilliant, the staff were friendly and accommodating ('just one more time', is never just one more time....) and the crew put in extremely long days whilst still managing to enjoy the resort together!
You can check out the stills and a shorter cutdown of the film on the Elements of Byron website here

I was driving around Sydney this week and saw a familiar face staring back at me from a giant billboard - the latest Vero Insurance campaign has been released! I produced and styled the studio shoot for this campaign a few months ago, working with actual Vero business customers to tell their stories about working with Vero. It was so much fun working with our enthusiastic first time models, and hearing their positive experiences with our client.
It was a stunning night for our photo shoot at Zephyr Bar, which was fitting because it is a stunning venue! Working with James Horan Photography, we photographed the new rooftop bar at the Hyatt Regency overlooking Darling Harbour. Massive thanks to the staff at the Hyatt Regency for being so accommodating and making so many wonderful cocktails. Check out the full suite of images on the Zephyr Bar website.
I worked with James Horan Photography on a photo shoot earlier this year to promote the community lifestyle at the Discovery Point property development in Wolli Creek.
We worked with actual residents to showcase their homes and their favourite aspects of living there. There was a lot to cover - starting with breakfast on a balcony at sunrise, brunch at the local cafe, picnics in the communal gardens, haircuts at the local barber and finishing off with drinks on a rooftop at sunset.
It was a long 15 hour day in the end! The talent, crew and client were so much fun to work with and ensured it was a breeze. You can see more of our work on the Discovery Point website here.
I was asked to return as the producer to film the Adobe Digital Marketing Symposium for 2017. The event was bigger and better this year and held at the gorgeous Sydney Opera House. As a result we really wanted the highlights reel to be something special, so we pulled out lots of gadgets for a Point of View (POV) style shoot.
Working with the Chris Benny Imaging team we drew a lot of attention with our custom rigged helmet to create the right effect. It seemed fitting to be using such creative gadgets amongst the creative elite Adobe crowd!
Alongside the highlights reel filming, I also engaged multiple DOP's to shoot all of the presentations throughout the two days, resulting in a mammoth 69 films requiring editing to a tight turnaround, complete with graphics. The videos are available to watch on the Adobe website here
I recently spent a whirlwind 2 days with celebrity chef Dan Churchill while he showed us his favourite Sydney activities and locations for Qantas. He was an absolute pleasure to work with - so much fun and so much energy, even with jetlag that guy never stops! I produced the shoot with a small crew and we trekked around Sydney in a mini bus, driving from Palm Beach down the coast through the city to Alexandria.
Earlier in the year I was lucky enough to produce a food and wine film shoot for Qantas in South Australia - 3 of my favourite things in one: food, wine and travel!
Just myself and Nicholas Price behind the camera (who also managed the drone, and the sound!) talking to wine maker Chris Ringland and grape grower Adrian Hoffman. We sampled some delicious wine and food....and managed to film some content at the same time! Chris and Adrian were a delight to work with and I learnt so much from them, as you can see from these videos.
And of course I had to make an appearance in one of them....
It's so lovely to uncover snippets of content from the epic Boost Mobile stills and footage advertising shoot I produced and styled with James Horan Photography last year. We threw 80 litres of slime (after figuring out how to make it! Let's just say I could smell custard for weeks after this shoot!) 3kgs of glitter, an assortment of cakes, 60 balloons, 50kgs of jellybeans and 5 litres of tomato sauce in one day. The cleaning part was not fun....
I'm so grateful to work with people who are, not only incredibly talented and enthusiastic about their work, but also good friends. So when James Horan asked me to produce the filming and photography of the New Year's Eve events at the Royal Botanic Gardens for him, I didn't hesitate to say yes.
Along with Nicholas Price and Joe Hell shooting footage, we had an absolute ball working with the amazing RBG production team on 'Harbour Hoopla' and 'Lawn with a View' events. The best part about the night was the happy ticket holders - all so willing to take part in our shoot and rave about how great the night was.
These are just a small sample of the great images James captured on the night, and the promotional films will be released soon!

I recently produced a stills and film shoot with Chris Benny Imaging for Volkswagen Australia. It was a pretty hectic schedule consisting of 6 days in the studio and 4 days in multiple locations around NSW. They were some pretty long days so a massive thanks goes out to the amazing crew we had on board who managed to still have fun, even by the end of day 10!
The material is being used for their latest website rebrand and I'm pleased to say my talent skills have made the cut! See if you can spot me....
This week I had the absolute pleasure to produce the 50th Anniversary event for The North Face brand. It was a 3 day event showcasing the brand's history including it's inception, products, partnerships and events. We also hosted a film screening each night with an intimate group of the brand's biggest supporters which felt more like a big house party each night - the crowd were all so friendly and welcoming, it certainly didn't feel like I was working!
Massive thanks to the team at The North Face for getting me on board and allowing me to celebrate with them (special mention goes to Mark Watson for recommending me!) and the team working hard alongside me including Anne Robinson for being my partner in crime in the early stages, DJ Warehouse for doing a stellar job with all the creative AV, and Rockwall for putting on a spectacular feast each night.

I produced a mammoth project with the amazing team at Engine Room Productions recently - producing all of the filming for the Adobe Digital Marketing Symposium in Sydney. I managed the production and post production of filming more than 60 presentations across 2 days (which can be viewed on the Adobe website here) plus managed the concept creation, production and directed the highlights reel film above.
It was such a great experience to work for such an iconic and respected brand. Massive thanks to the Adobe and Engine Room Productions teams, plus the 10 crew of shooters, tech directors, production managers and assistants who worked with me to make the project so successful.
I worked with an awesome team on a really fun creative project recently with Klinik TV for Huawei. To assist with the launch of their new P9 smartphone, we produced a series of online films to showcase the quality of the phone's camera capabilities (complete with a Leica lens!) by filming the content with the phone! What better way to test it out than by filming extreme contrasts of low light and bright lights at Vivid Sydney.
The films were a behind the scenes look at how we filmed everything on the phones (complete with rigging the phone on tripods, sliders and ronin rig), the partnership with Huawei and Vivid Sydney and an in depth look at the technical specifications of the phone.
Big thanks to our fearless leader Anthony Damianakis, super creative Director Nicholas Price, the ridiculously talented DP and editor Stephen Mylonas, and the best troubleshooter in the business - Joe Hell.
You can see the full sequence of the 4 films we created here.
I experienced my first ever snowfall in Darling Harbour! It may or may not have been real snow but it was still pretty impressive! Darling Harbour is home to the fun Winter school holiday event called 'Cool Yule' where you can go ice skating, play in the snow, walk through a snowy forest and so much more! I produced the filming and photography for this year's event alongside James Horan shooting stills, Nicholas Price shooting footage with the resulting film edited by Mitch Ayers.
We were also lucky enough to help a gorgeous couple get engaged in front of everyone out on the ice rink. Our footage even made it onto the Today Show the following morning. They were such a sweet couple, it was so wonderful to be a part of such a special moment for them. You can see the story via the Today Show facebook page here
I love travelling for work projects! I’m a city girl with a penchant for a tropical holiday so travelling for work is a great opportunity to explore a destination that I wouldn’t normally get to. Moree and Walgett in country NSW certainly comes under this category!
I produced a film and stills shoot for NSW Farmers to create material for their ‘Farmers4LandReform’ campaign. We travelled to four different farms and featured some incredibly intelligent and passionate farmers who all generously welcomed our crew into their homes to share their stories.
It was a whirlwind few days of shooting - racing to escape bad weather, chasing the light and travelling many kilometres. It was a lot of fun though, and I loved working with Nicholas Price on the camera, Chris Benny Imaging on stills and drone, and Mitch Lewis covering sound.
I love beauty products! So I was a little excited to be working on the VS Sassoon ‘Goddess’ campaign to launch their new hair straightener.
I transitioned from working on a TVC for Subaru with a completely male crew, to playing with hair straighteners and talking to women about beauty and hair – both fun in their own ways! Check out this online film I produced for the wonderful The Grindhouse crew.
I was really excited to produce my first car shoot earlier this year - until I realised what a pre-production challenge it was! The simplest of shoots involves detailed traffic management plans, stunt drivers, safety officers, multiple council permits - and then there was the drone....
It was also my first shoot working with the amazingly talented Chris Benny and his team. Chris specialises in automotive and action filming and photography, plus he also has all his drone certifications (working with Axis Aerial Works). This basically means that Chris is the king of gadgets and you need plenty of excess baggage purchased when you go travelling with him (which I discovered recently on another shoot in regional NSW!)
In the end we successfully navigated all of the challenges to capture the city components of this Subaru XV TVC. Looking forward to seeing how difficult the next one will be!
