Strandbags advertising campaign

Fashion photographer Oliver Freeman asked me to produce a whirlwind turnaround shoot for Strandbags. It was a crazy timeline with lots of location scouting to find multiple locations, casting talent, a complex styling brief to match the huge number of gorgeous bags we had to shoot, along with all of the usual logistics - hectic but fun!! Thanks to Oliver for getting me on board, and always a pleasure working with my favourite girls - Lisa and Sophie :)

McAfee advertising campaign

I spent a large portion of 2018 producing two advertising campaigns for tech company McAfee - one for their corporate clients and one for their consumer clients. I’ve been producing projects for Engine Room Productions for 3 years now and they trusted me to manage this for them. There was so much work involved from a pre-production point of view (location scouting for the perfect office locations, sourcing the right tech props etc) but it was a dream job in terms of how great the client and crew were to work with.

Jaguar Track Experience

The Qube Productions team filmed and photographed the Track Experience day for Jaguar recently. I was lucky enough to work on location with them for a day and experience my first track event! It was great to talk to the customers about how much they love the cars and what driving skills they were learning. We worked with some amazing drivers who had fun showing off their skills around the race track. Massive thanks to Josh Buchan who gave me my first racing experience - I think I managed to contain my fear fairly well, though he may disagree…..

Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney

We were lucky to have a gorgeous Sydney day for our photo shoot for the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney recently. I produced the shoot for James Horan Photography with the purpose of providing a large suite of fresh images to help them rebrand their website.

Australian National Maritime Museum rebrand

James Horan captained a recent photo shoot to rebrand the Australian National Maritime Museum. Surprisingly it was my first time exploring the amazing ships they have on display including a submarine which I was pretty excited about! I think the whole crew have learnt a few new tricky trivia facts on Australia’s maritime history as a result of working on this shoot.

Urbanest Brand Campaign

James Horan got me on board to produce his photo shoot for Urbanest. Not only were we launching their new brand but also promoting the latest Urbanest building in the revamped Darling Harbour. It’s a great location with cute laneways and funky new shops, cafes and restaurants. I cast the talent and we were lucky to have such a fun bunch of people who genuinely got along, and of course we made fun of them mercilessly throughout the day (which is to be expected on a James Horan Photography shoot!)

Volvo Trolley IQ

I produced a film shoot for WhiteGrey earlier this year which was quite unique - a shopping trolley that contained the safety features of a Volvo - introducing Volvo Trolley IQ! It was a great concept and it was fun to take my knowledge of shooting cars in a sexy way to shooting a trolley….in a sexy way. The Qube Productions team came on board to shoot the drone footage and the genius gadget guys from Yippee Ki-Yay created the intelligent trolley.

Volkswagen Polo movie trailer

Qube Productions have been creating content for Volkswagen’s latest car models for several years now. For the latest release of the Polo GTI and Polo Beats we were asked to create a film trailer to be played at the ‘drive in cinema’ style launch. It was great to do something more creative with a press pack and we had a lot of fun coming up with the concept for it.

Celeste Barber - #CruiseChallengeAccepted

I had a little fan moment recently. I had the wonderful opportunity to produce a film shoot with Celeste Barber for a Royal Caribbean promotion. It was my first official comedic project and I was lucky enough to work with the big guns of comedy - Celeste and the talented Craig Anderson as director.

We took Royal Caribbean cruise experiences and tried to recreate them on dry land as a ‘Cruise Challenge’. It was a lot of fun and I learnt so much from working with such talented and experienced artists. Massive thanks to WhiteGrey for giving me this project!

Harness Racing NSW advertising campaign

Earlier in the year I produced a photo shoot with James Horan Photography for Harness Racing NSW. I have never attended a harness racing event before so it was a whole new world to me. We had a lot of fun meeting the passionate people who race and work on these events, including the adorable ponies! We spent two days shooting out at Menangle Park Raceway with Sophie Hart Styling and Lisa Mangion on hair and makeup.

Shops and boats!

I produced a film shoot with the Qube Productions team recently for Mirvac. Our mission was to promote the Shopper Hopper ferry service - a wonderful way to travel to Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre from Darling Harbour or Circular Quay. 

We took our experience with using lots of gadgets to shoot cars - to using lots of gadgets on Sydney Harbour to shoot boats and gorgeous girls shopping. Both have their own challenges, particularly the copious amounts of salt water spraying onto the team and equipment! 

Sadly no items were actually purchased.

Audi sales campaign

I produced the latest Audi stills campaign with Qube Productions (formerly Chris Benny Imaging) and I'm feeling pretty proud seeing the images around Sydney - including a massive billboard at the entrance to Sydney Domestic Airport! Chris has years of experience making the cars look sexy - the challenge is always finding the right location. Massive thanks to the great team behind us who helped make this project a success.

Elements of Byron resort

I love Byron Bay but I only ever really get to spend time up there when I'm working. So it's a good thing that I get to work at the gorgeous Elements of Byron resort! 

This film and photo shoot focused on the family experience of the resort, and all the wonderful things it has to offer. The weather was beautiful, the local talent were brilliant, the staff were friendly and accommodating ('just one more time', is never just one more time....) and the crew put in extremely long days whilst still managing to enjoy the resort together!

Vero Business Insurance

I was driving around Sydney this week and saw a familiar face staring back at me from a giant billboard - the latest Vero Insurance campaign has been released! I produced and styled the studio shoot for this campaign a few months ago, working with actual Vero business customers to tell their stories about working with Vero. It was so much fun working with our enthusiastic first time models, and hearing their positive experiences with our client.

Scott Ehler did a fantastic job behind the camera and you can see the final images on the Vero website here, and in various locations whilst driving!

Zephyr Bar at Park Hyatt Regency

It was a stunning night for our photo shoot at Zephyr Bar, which was fitting because it is a stunning venue! Working with James Horan Photography, we photographed the new rooftop bar at the Hyatt Regency overlooking Darling Harbour. Massive thanks to the staff at the Hyatt Regency for being so accommodating and making so many wonderful cocktails. Check out the full suite of images on the Zephyr Bar website.

Say Hello to Discovery Point

I worked with James Horan Photography on a photo shoot earlier this year to promote the community lifestyle at the Discovery Point property development in Wolli Creek.

We worked with actual residents to showcase their homes and their favourite aspects of living there. There was a lot to cover - starting with breakfast on a balcony at sunrise, brunch at the local cafe, picnics in the communal gardens, haircuts at the local barber and finishing off with drinks on a rooftop at sunset.

It was a long 15 hour day in the end! The talent, crew and client were so much fun to work with and ensured it was a breeze. You can see more of our work on the Discovery Point website here.

Adobe Digital Marketing Symposium 2017

I was asked to return as the producer to film the Adobe Digital Marketing Symposium for 2017. The event was bigger and better this year and held at the gorgeous Sydney Opera House. As a result we really wanted the highlights reel to be something special, so we pulled out lots of gadgets for a Point of View (POV) style shoot.

Working with the Chris Benny Imaging team we drew a lot of attention with our custom rigged helmet to create the right effect. It seemed fitting to be using such creative gadgets amongst the creative elite Adobe crowd!

Alongside the highlights reel filming, I also engaged multiple DOP's to shoot all of the presentations throughout the two days, resulting in a mammoth 69 films requiring editing to a tight turnaround, complete with graphics. The videos are available to watch on the Adobe website here

Dan Churchill's Sydney for Qantas

I recently spent a whirlwind 2 days with celebrity chef Dan Churchill while he showed us his favourite Sydney activities and locations for Qantas. He was an absolute pleasure to work with - so much fun and so much energy, even with jetlag that guy never stops! I produced the shoot with a small crew and we trekked around Sydney in a mini bus, driving from Palm Beach down the coast through the city to Alexandria. 

And of course we had to get a selfie!

Barossa Valley wines for Qantas

Earlier in the year I was lucky enough to produce a food and wine film shoot for Qantas in South Australia - 3 of my favourite things in one: food, wine and travel!

Just myself and Nicholas Price behind the camera (who also managed the drone, and the sound!) talking to wine maker Chris Ringland and grape grower Adrian Hoffman. We sampled some delicious wine and food....and managed to film some content at the same time! Chris and Adrian were a delight to work with and I learnt so much from them, as you can see from these videos.

And of course I had to make an appearance in one of them....

New Year's Eve at the Royal Botanic Gardens

I'm so grateful to work with people who are, not only incredibly talented and enthusiastic about their work, but also good friends. So when James Horan asked me to produce the filming and photography of the New Year's Eve events at the Royal Botanic Gardens for him, I didn't hesitate to say yes.

Along with Nicholas Price and Joe Hell shooting footage, we had an absolute ball working with the amazing RBG production team on 'Harbour Hoopla' and 'Lawn with a View' events. The best part about the night was the happy ticket holders - all so willing to take part in our shoot and rave about how great the night was.
