Wine Island – as soon as I heard the name of this event I knew I had to get involved. Combining some of my all time favourite things – wine, views across Sydney harbour, wine, great food, funky retro music (what better soundtrack to be racing around on an island to than ‘Hot Stuff’)…did I mention wine?
I met the creative genius responsible for this event and after embarrassingly gushing about how much I loved the concept (and wine!), she still wanted me on board to produce the filming and photography for the marketing material!
These are the images I managed to shoot in the opening session on the Friday while the skies were actually blue. Unfortunately the rain was a constant for the other 5 sessions over the 3 days when I had my awesome team of photographer Brett Hemmings and cameraman Cam Batten of Axis Aerial Works working hard. They did an amazing job even with some pretty heavy rain causing a few improvisations with protecting the gear (sadly I did not get a photo of the incredibly fashionable poncho Brett was wearing but you can see the rig Cam set up over his Movi here)
More event photos and the final edit of the film will be posted to my website soon!
